Connecting to Wi-Fi Networks (Alpha)
Alpha uses Wi-Fi to back up documents to the cloud and download firmware updates. To access your drafts, you must have a Postbox account, which you are prompted to create when you first receive your device.
Note: Documents are always saving locally to Alpha, even when you're not connected to Wi-Fi. So you never have to worry about losing your work!
How To Connect to Wi-Fi
- Hold the power button for 3 seconds to open the main menu.
- Press [1] to select "Wifi."
- The screen will update to show three options: on, off, or new. If you're adding a new network, select [3]. If you are connecting to a network you've connected Alpha to before, select [1].
- If selecting a new network, the screen will update with a list of available networks. Select a network with the number keys, or use [pg dn] or [pg up] to see more networks.
- If connecting to a secure network, you will be prompted to enter a password.
- You will see a confirmation that you are connected.
- You will also be prompted to enter your email address in order to log into your Postbox account, if you are not already logged in. (If you don't have a Postbox account, this process will create one for you.)
- Enter your password for Postbox in order to complete the log-in.
- The screen will display a message letting you know that you are successfully logged in!
