Using the Frontlight (Smart Typewriter)

Smart Typewriter's E Ink display is equipped with a frontlight that enhances the viewing experience. The frontlight is different than a backlight. It's easier on the eyes because it shines light onto the screen from in front instead of at your eyes from behind the screen. 

How to Adjust Smart Typewriter Frontlight:

Smart Typewriter (Gen3): 

Toggle the light on and off by pressing [new] + [shift] + [L].

Brightness can be adjusted in the device menu. To open the device menu, hold the power button for 4 seconds. 

Smart Typewriter (Gen1 & Gen2): 

Toggle the light on and off by pressing [special] + [L].
